            Use this BBQ sauce for basting meat and poultry both in the microwave and on the barbecue. May also be used as a marinade before cooking.

            Original recipe yields:

            6 servings (makes 3 cups)


            1 largeonion, skinned
            2 clovesgarlic, skinned and crushed
            1 tbspoil
            1 tspdry mustard
            4 tbspdark brown sugar
            2 tbspWorcestershire sauce
            2 tbspred wine vinegar
            2 cuptomato sauce

            Per serving:


            1. Very finely chop the onion and combine with the garlic and oil in a jug (7 cups).
            2. Cook for 2-4 mins to soften the onion.
            3. Thoroughly stir the mustard and sugar into the onion, then the remaining ingredients, seasoning to taste.
            4. Cook until the sauce just comes to the boil and the onion pieces are quite cooked, about 3-6 mins.
